If you are new to homeschooling or even if you aren’t, you may not be aware yet that there are different styles of homeschooling. Homeschooling is like anything else in life- everyone has a different approach and no one looks exactly the same. However there are specific styles that can help define your approach to homeschooling- from the way you structure your day to the curriculum you buy (or don’t buy) and how you present information to your child(ren).
Here is a quick breakdown of some of the most popular styles of homeschooling: unschooling, Charlotte Mason, Classical, eclectic, traditional, unit study, roadschooling, world schooling, and honestly, the list goes on and on!
Regardless of what type of homeschooler you end up being, my best advice is follow that method or methods! Try it out and see if it works for your family! One of the best things about homeschooling is that each year can look different! You are not stuck in a box! Open your mind and the possibilities are endless!
